Curú is the first Wildlife Refuge established in Costa Rica, in the year 1983. This farm style refuge combines a sustainable use of land, so wildlife and humans can interact in the same space. The different ecosystems found in Curú, give this area a variety of species that are generally easy to spot along the trails. Varied wildlife in the Reserve will allow the opportunity to possibly see hauler monkeys, white face monkeys, a wide variety of birds, agoutis and other animals. Perfect for those who enjoy bird watching and love nature.

Part of the Tempisque Conservation Area, the Cabo Blanco Natural Reserve was created in 1963 by the Scandinavian couple, Olof Wessberg and Karen Morgenson. The first major project of conservation in Costa Rica, this reserve came into force to protect the area from the deforestation that took place around the Peninsula of Nicoya in the 1950’s.

This zip lining consists of a series of 9 cables, 13 platforms that are suspended high above the forest floor.
