Regenerative Landscapes
Native gardens and wildlife-friendly practices help restore biodiversity while creating natural habitats for monkeys, birds, pollinators, and other local species.
Ocean Friendly Practices
Certified as an Ocean Friendly Business, Nantipa actively reduces single-use plastics through refillable water stations, glass bottles, recycling programs, and biodegradable alternatives.
Water & Energy Systems
100% of wastewater is treated and reused for irrigation, while solar-powered water heating systems help reduce dependence on conventional energy sources.
Community Partnerships
As a founding member of CATUCZA (Cámara de Turismo y Comercio de la Zona Sur), Nantipa actively supports initiatives that create positive impact across the region.
We proudly collaborate with organizations and community programs focused on environmental conservation through CIRENAS, youth development through initiatives such as Fútbol por mi País, women entrepreneurship through the local artisan market at Plaza Pochote, and public safety through support of the local lifeguard program.
Through our Circular Compost Initiative, we also purchase compost from a local school program, helping support school infrastructure while promoting sustainable practices and circular economy initiatives within the community.

Thanks to the generosity of our guests, more children in Santa Teresa now have improved classrooms and better spaces to learn and grow. Through our Donation at Check-Out initiative, guests can voluntarily support community projects through the Nicoya Peninsula Foundation.
Launched in 2025, the initiative has already generated meaningful impact, allocating over $31,938 to educational projects that directly benefit local children, including the families of many of our collaborators.

At Nantipa, we invite our guests to connect more deeply with the destination through small actions that create a positive impact.
Guests can participate in our beach cleanup initiative through the cleanup station located on the beach. Simply fill a bucket with collected litter, share your experience on social media, and enjoy a complimentary smoothie as a thank you for helping protect our coastline.
In-room towel reuse initiatives also help reduce water and energy consumption, while our complimentary electric vehicle charging station supports more conscious ways of traveling.
For guests seeking a more immersive and meaningful experience, our team can also coordinate visits to CIRENAS, where visitors can learn more about local conservation efforts and participate in volunteer activities connected to environmental protection and community impact.
