Our Story
Shaped by Nature, Built with Intention
Nantipa was founded on a clear belief: Costa Rica deserved a beachfront luxury boutique resort that felt both elevated and deeply connected to its surroundings. In 2010, three Costa Rican friends — Harry, Luis, and Meni — saw in Santa Teresa the opportunity to create something distinct: a destination shaped by surf culture, natural beauty, and an evolving culinary identity.
Drawing on decades of hospitality experience, they set out to build Nantipa, a Santa Teresa hotel designed with intention, rooted in community, and guided by a more authentic vision of luxury. Built with sustainability in mind and brought to life with local talent, Nantipa offers a more meaningful expression of what a barefoot luxury hotel in Costa Rica can be.
